iHUB Charity Clinic – Policy & Guidelines The iHUB Charity Clinic is committed to providing accessible, compassionate and community-centered healthcare to individuals regardless of background, insurance status, or financial ability. To ensure safety, professionalism, and consistency in care, the following policies apply to all patients, volunteers, and providers. 1. Purpose of the Clinic • To offer basic, non-emergency medical care to the community. • To provide health education, screenings, and referrals. • To support individuals who may not have regular access to primary care. 2. Scope of Services The clinic provides limited, outpatient, non-emergency services, such as: • General health consultations • Basic physical exams • Chronic condition screening (BP, glucose, etc.) • Basic Blood Panel • Essential generic medications • Preventive care guidance • Mental health and wellness referrals • Lifestyle, nutrition, and wellness counseling • Follow-up consultations • Referrals to specialists when appropriate Services NOT provided: • Emergency or urgent care • Surgical procedures or invasive treatments • Prescriptions for controlled substances • Long-term ongoing primary care • Disability evaluations, legal assessments, or work clearances • Childhood vaccination administration 3. Eligibility The clinic is open to: • Uninsured or underinsured individuals • Anyone seeking basic medical advice • Community members needing wellness support All patients must complete a registration and consent form before receiving services. Clinic Hours: The clinic will be open every Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Appointments are preferred; however, walk-ins will also be accepted. 4. Good Samaritan Protection iHUB Charity Clinic operates under the Illinois Good Samaritan Act. Volunteer physicians and medical personnel: • Provide services at no cost • Are protected from civil liability when providing care in good faith • Must follow clinic policy and ethical guidelines 5. Volunteer Roles & Conduct Providers (MD, DO, NP, PA, AYU, Homeopathy, PT, etc.): • Must be licensed and in good standing. • May provide only services within their scope. • Must document visits briefly for continuity. Medical Students & Clinical Assistants: • May assist with vitals (BP, BMI, RBS), intake, and patient flow. • Must work under supervision of a licensed provider.
