Faces of Courage
Millions infected, death count rising, schools and colleges shut down, lost jobs, economy plummeting, and the list keeps growing. Everywhere we turn, all we see is sadness, despair, anxiety and discouragement. During these days of isolation, we want to give you a reason to stay positive and feel strong.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, S.C.A.R.F. (Sudden Cardiac-death Awareness Research Foundation) has come together with I.T.F.(Indian Task Force) to assist our communities by creating a task force with a helpline. Over the past three weeks, we have come across many individuals with stories of courage and resilience. Through our series “Faces of Courage” we will share stories of some of the most vulnerable people who have irreversibly been hurt by this pandemic. Yet here they are, teaching us how to face severe adversity with graceful calmness, quiet confidence and a firm belief in humanity. Their journey will inspire and give you hope.
Just knowing the challenges that families are facing, now made more painful by this pandemic, reminds us to be grateful. We are inspired and continue to work hard towards our mission to help as many people as we can.
